Last night was my daughter's 10th birthday dinner night, and what restaurant did she choose? Kour Thai! If you think a Thai restaurant is an odd choice for a 10 year old, you haven't been to Kour Thai, a new restaurant in Lucerne. The vegetables are so fresh that you almost think they've come from a garden behind the restaurant, the noodles are not too soft, not too firm - cooked just right, and each dish is seasoned to perfection ... and don't even get me started on the hot and sour soup!! The couple that own Kour Thai waited on us personally and made sure that we had a 10th birthday dinner that was both delicious and special.

We usually have problems eating out in Lake County because many restaurants only pay lip-service to providing for vegetarians. Not so Kour Thai! They bent over backwards to accommodate us, and even created dishes that weren't on the menu. All of our dishes were fresh and flavorful - the vegetables were crisp, although the pad thai noodles could have been a bit firmer. We even had a birthday girl in our party, and I believe (because I didn't pay the bill) they gave us all free (and yummy!) coconut ice cream!

I'm always looking for good restaurants right on the lake, and I'm glad to have found this one. Now, when they're done with the redecorating, I'll raise my review up a star --- I can't wait to be able to sit out on the back deck and enjoy a Lake County sunset over the lake while enjoying a fine meal at Kour Thai!
