of A&B COLLISION - 8/9/2010
My mechanic told me it would cost at LEAST $300 to get new lenses for my car headlights! It seemed so expensive, but it was a safety issue, so I thought I'd have to spend it.
As of this writing, A & B has an Outrageous Deal to buff out the plastic lense coverings on car headlights for $20. They did it and now I'm driving at night with better visibility, brighter lights and I only spent a FRACTION of the money to get this done.
Great service and I am SO happy. Thank you, Bill & Alvarro!

Who doesn't like a cone on a hot summer afternoon? Delicious, pretty, cold and oh, so satisfying.
We licked our cones, while strolling down the street, window shopping in the afternoon. What a treat!

of Bigg's 155 Diner - 7/26/2010
I've been here maybe 4 times, hoping to discover what the rave reviewers are talking about. I've found the food to be good, but unremarkable.
I'd like to teach the waitress the difference between being attentive and insinuating oneself into a private conversation. I didn't come here to listen to her unasked opinion of our discussion. The last time we came here we were glad to leave. I'm not planning on trying again.

Well prepared, fresh California cuisine, but the wine bar really makes the dining experience special.
The service is always excellent and the staff remembers you. If you happen in on an "entertainment night", you're bound to hear good music and see your friends popping in, which just makes the entire experience homey and fun.

of Chic Le Chef - 9/13/2010
Not just for catering, they have cooking classes too!
We made pasta and ravioli fillings from scratch and it tasted great! Classes are limited to small numbers so you have the chance to get close to the chef as he or she demonstrates.
You get tastes along the way and they give you the full recipes that were made and that you tasted.
So much fun!

of Grocery Outlet - 9/13/2010
Shopping here is like finding treats. You never know when one of your favorite products shows up here at a significantly discounted price, and then you can stock up.
Besides the groceries and wine, they have great deals on name brand personal care items and small household goods and small kitchen appliances.
I saw an ad in Martha Stewart Living for a hair care product and then saw that exact product at Grocery Outlet for a fraction of the retail cost. You gotta love it!

of Howling Dog Cafe - 9/13/2010
First, I want to thank Denise for putting some of the menu on this profile page. We searched this website for a new place for lunch and made our decision based on reading the menu.
Great sandwich choices and they have fresh squeezed lemonade that is delicious! We noticed a breakfast menu, so next time we'll go for breakfast and coffee.
I was too full to try any desserts, but they looked sinfully wonderful. Lemon bars! (my secret weakness)

of Jimmy's Deli & Taqueria - 7/26/2010
Great sandwich choices for lunch. The grilled meats are succulent and delicious. They also have falafals, but it takes longer to prepare those, so either order early or order something else if you go with friends and want your order at the same time your friends' get theirs.

of Kelseyville Lumber Home Improvement Center - 9/13/2010
We needed to replace some exterior paneling on our house. That meant we had to match what was already there. Okay, so we called around; even to building supply places outside of Lake County to find the best match at the best price.
Result: The best product that matched what we needed was right here at Kelseyville Lumber. It was primed and in stock. The "other guys" didn't even carry primed material. One of "them" had to order it. So, a couple of hours later, siding was repaired. Hurrah! (Just in time for the painters!)

of Lakeview Supermarket & Deli - 7/26/2010
It's all about quality here:
1. Quality meat
2. Quality service
3. Quality information (Go ahead, ask how to cook something; they're ready for you!)
I wish I lived closer so I could shop there for fresh meat every day.

of Main Street Pizza - 7/7/2010
Took a friend to Main Street Pizza for the first time. The pizza was wonderful, flavorful and gooey cheese, just the way I like it. Friends at the next table shared a special pizza that had cilantro instead of basil on top. Amazingly great flavor combination.
Added plus: they have micro-brews on tap!

of Mimi's Attic - 7/26/2010
What a surprise this place is! A friend of mine picked up a used (in incredibly great shape) wine refrigerator for an absolute steal of a price. I popped down there and found $5 laser printeer cartridges (that normally cost $60+).
She's getting new stuff all the time, so I have to keep going back for more deals.

of Perry Painting - 9/20/2010
If you need your house painted and you want an incredible job done, call Perry Painting. I was amazed at the amount of work that these guys put into the preparation and cleaning before one speck of paint was applied.
My siding was pretty badly chipped in places with full sun exposure. I was thrilled that they applied an oil base primer on all the exposed wood before the regular primer and the paint.
They were meticulous with their work. Caulking and trim came out beautifully. I am fussy and I highly recommend Perry Painting for their high quality work.

of Pieces Boutique - 7/26/2010
I'm fussy about my clothes and I don't like to spend a fortune. I nearly always find some special something here that I just can't live without. I've bought slacks, dresses, tops, hats, bags and shoes here at rediculously low prices and the quality is great! I don't know where they find so much nice stuff that they can sell so reasonably, but I'm not complaining.
And really, if you like "eye candy" you've got to appreciate how beautifully the staff arranges everything. It's visually beautiful, so you just want to shop.

of Plaza Paint & Supplies - 9/13/2010
Choosing a color scheme to paint your house is a daunting task, but Gino and Jason make it easy on you.
Besides the usual display of a zillion color chips, they offer some great books and magazines to look through to give you the "picture" of what your house could look like (inside AND out). It made our choice selection easier and the guys actually discuss the advantages and disadvantages of light on the colors.
On top of that, they do custom blends, too! I ran into a friend there who had a sample of something in her kitchen that she needed to match. They mixed it right up.
Now THAT's Customer Service!

of Studebaker's Cafe and Deli - 7/26/2010
Great sandwich combinations. Delicious and they really fill you up! Eat half now and half later (or share with a friend and save room for dessert)!

of Tallman Hotel - 7/26/2010
We treated ourselves to a 2 night, 3 day stay mid-week. I didn't want to leave! Everything was gorgeous; the food, the service, the room, the ambiance. I rarely give 5 stars for anything, because I leave room for improvement. I couldn't think of how they could improve upon it. The Tallman is truly a wonderful, upscale, comfortable fabulous experience. 5 Stars, all the way!

of Watershed Books - 7/26/2010
I like old books and bookstores that stock them. Cheri has some eclectic collections that are worth the time to peruse. I've found wonderful little treasures there, like a cloth-bound, turn of the last century book of Christmas ghost stories that are so popular in Britain. What a wonderful find that has become one of my "newer" treasures.

of Wildhurst Vineyards - 7/26/2010
Even wine snob friends of mine from Sonoma and Napa counties love Wildhurst wines. There's something so comforting about serving and being served this wonderful local wine with really good food.
Try them all. You'll find your favorites and they have specials during the year so you can stock up.
