You are treated like royalty here and the rooms are divine! You absolutely should experience the Japanese soaking tubs. They are so very relaxing.

of  Pieces Boutique - 9/14/2010
I needed something special for a dress up party and my friend told me to go to Pieces. (yeah. we'll see.) OMG! I was so surprised to see such great stuff and I found the perfect outfit for the occasion. AND it didn't break my budget! I'll be back.

of  Disney's Water Sports - 7/6/2010
We don't have a boat. When my sister and her husband and daughters came to visit in summer and wanted to play on the water, we rented a pontoon boat. The folks at Disney took great care of us. We were having so much fun on the lake that we wanted to stay longer. We called them on our cell and they let us keep the boat for the rest of the day! What a great day and a great memory to share with our family.

of  Lakeport Yacht Club - 7/6/2010
A group of us caught the cardboard and duct tape boat races. What a scream that was! People of all ages having too much fun getting wet and trying to stay afloat on boats made of cardboard! Lots of fun. Thanks, guys (and gals) for giving us something silly and fun to do. They had really good prizes, too. CASH! Hope you do it again next year. We might have an entry.

of  Wildhurst Vineyards - 7/6/2010
Wildhurst has some outstanding wines and they have great offers on case buys throughout the year. We always pick up a case or two of our favorties. Our out of town guests are always impressed with the quality of the Wildhurst wines.

of  Cactus Grill - 9/14/2010
In Mexico, you get a lot of vegetable choices in restaurants. It's not all rice and beans. The Cactus Grill gives you some excellent healthy choices that include fresh, in-season vegetables. Try a portabello mushroom quesadilla, or one with asparagus in the spring. The salsa bar is fresh and fantastic. Everything we've ever eaten here has been great! (I wish they'd open another restaurant at the north end of the lake.)

of  Lakeport English Inn - 9/14/2010
In England, "Tea" is a meal as well as a drink. You get your tea in your own teapot (with plenty of refills) and the food is scrumptious! Tasty finger sandwiches, decadent sweets. I think my favorite has to be the scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. A traditional "tea" staple and it tastes SO good! The service is also impeccable. Everyone is treated like an honored guest. Treat yourself and your girlfriends to tea. It's worth it!

of  Blue Wing Saloon & Cafe - 5/23/2010
Food has always been good, although sometimes I get a little bored with the choices. The service is GREAT! They treat you right and the wine selection is excellent.

of  Soper-Reese Theatre - 5/23/2010
The acoustics in this intimate theater are fabulous! There are no bad seats and the shows that we've seen here just keep getting better and better. The latest was the Lip Sync by the Chamber of Commerce. We laughed so hard, my mascara was running. Seeing shows at the Soper-Reese theater has spoiled us, so we hesitate to see shows at other places now. We LIKE this theater a LOT!

of  Rosa d'Oro Vineyards - 5/23/2010
The wines here are GREAT! They make some lesser known reds of italian grape origin that I have never had anywhere else and I just love them. They actually have chairs at the tasting bar, so you feel comfortable staying awhile and visiting with the owners and the other guests. I've been to some tasting rooms in Northern California that have "attitude". Not here. They treat you like one of the family.

of  Murder Us Productions - 5/23/2010
This is so much fun! While you're having drinks and dinner, the players are mingling with the crowd and acting out their characters. You get to interact with them to figure out "who done it". It is loads of fun and we laughed a lot. Next time I'm going to bring along more friends to enjoy it with.

of  Lakeview Supermarket & Deli - 5/23/2010
This may sound silly, but the meat from this butcher has incredibly more flavor than what I find in the other stores. Their costs are competitive, yet the flavor is superior, so I say you get better value here than elsewhere. And, yes, the service is remarkable. They treat you like you are important to them and that they care. I love shopping here.

of  Bigg's 155 Diner - 6/13/2010
Based on some of the reviews I read here, we decided to try it. The food was good, but average. I'd like to know what menu items to try that might change my mind. We each ordered different dishes and tasted each one. What really stood out was the waitress. OMG! Can someone teach her to talk in a normal voice instead of at that high decibel level? And I hope someone will clue her in on what's on the menu. We asked her which micro-brews she had. She told us she didn't know what those were. We pointed it out on the menu and she said, "Oh. You mean beer." And then she rattled off every beer in the house; micro and otherwise. This was our third time here. If you want an average sandwich and you don't mind rough wait service, it's okay. The view of the lake is beautiful from the deck.

of  Molly Brennans - 5/23/2010
Good pub grub, but it's the comfy and friendly atmosphere that makes me go back. The beers on tap are delicious, they carry some really good local wines and Stephen, the owner, always has time for a chat to make you feel right at home. The kitchen can be slow when the place is full, so sit back and relax with your favorite brew and enjoy the company.

of  Rob Roy Golf Club - 5/23/2010
I've been here for several large events. The food is good and they get everyone served. The staff does a great job. The bartenders are friendly and funny. It's very relaxing to have a drink and watch the sun set over the golf course.

of  Mallard House - 5/23/2010
Stayed here a couple of times passing through and the place is clean and well kept. Rooms were tiny, but that's okay if you're spending your time outside on the lake.

of  TJ's Downtown Bar & Grill - 7/6/2010
Good place to meet friends and hang out. Drinks are good; they make some exotic cocktails. Food's pretty good, but what's with the fried pickles? I'd never had these before and probably won't again.

Review of the Day

Wildhurst Vineyards

"I bought a bottle of wine they had listed as a deal. Like a Bonehead, I didn't pay attention to the Terms & Conditions which said clearly that there was a 6 bottle minimum. I received a very pleasant email stating the T&C and apologizing for they..."
