My family and I wanted a casual dinner and decided to head to Biggs. Once again, it was a fantastic expericience. We sat upstairs and took in the spectacular lake view, ate really good food at a bargain price, and enjoyed a milkshake for desert. Service was friendly and fast. We enjoyed the evening very much and highly recommend Biggs.

My husband and I have been eating at Bigg's since they opened. Jeff and Stacey are two of the most friendly people we know and their food is exceptional. Our favorite is the Calamari/Shrimp Asian Salad, although they make a mean burger as well. Bigg's is an intimate dining experience (due to it size) for sure, but one well worth going to over and over again. Stephanie C.

I've been here maybe 4 times, hoping to discover what the rave reviewers are talking about. I've found the food to be good, but unremarkable.
I'd like to teach the waitress the difference between being attentive and insinuating oneself into a private conversation. I didn't come here to listen to her unasked opinion of our discussion. The last time we came here we were glad to leave. I'm not planning on trying again.
Bigg's 155 Diner says: I totally respect your irritation on a server butting in on a conversation. And we have spoken to our servers about respecting privacy of others.
While all our servers may not fit your personality or comfort level, I can assure you, their heart is in the right place.
Our servers take great pride in sharing the Bigg's experience, and it sounds like from your comment that this particular server's personality is not a good fit with you. Totally understandable. The great thing about Bigg's is that we have many servers with a rainbow of personalities and I am sure we have servers that would perfectly suit your comfort level.
Our goal is to make sure all customers receive great service, are treated respectfully and served an enjoyable reasonably priced meal. Folks come to the diner to enjoy the food but many times it is the companionship provided by our servers they seek.
We are a small restaurant with cozy seating, and at times the whole restaurant is involved in "the conversation" - I've witnessed it.
We hope you will try our restaurant again. And, if you are there, please let us know. We'd love to get your feedback right away so we can make any necessary corrections.

All I can say is "Mixed Greens Salad with Grilled Chicken." I dream about it sometimes. And in the fall they have pumpkin shakes. Oh sheesh! So good. And soft serve ice cream for the kids that's a great price after you've been playing at the park. And a Chicken Sandwich that's nearly to die for. Chef Jeff and his wife Stacy are really great people. And the diner has a great atmosphere. I love Biggs!

While they have some standard dishes like burgers, etc, they also have ones like "salmon on an asian vacation" that taste great. Chef Jeff definitely put some creativity into the menu here. I've always enjoyed the food I've eaten at Bigg's.

At the last minute, I planned a surprise birthday for my partner at Biggs. They were extremely friendly on the phone when making the reservations and upon arrival had the tables set up and ready for our party. They were unique and instead of cake gave the birthday girl a birthday sundae that delicious and enjoyed by all. We enjoyed the upstairs balcony and the view of the lake while having fun. The overall experience was great, the food was good and I definately recommend it.

Based on some of the reviews I read here, we decided to try it. The food was good, but average. I'd like to know what menu items to try that might change my mind. We each ordered different dishes and tasted each one.
What really stood out was the waitress. OMG! Can someone teach her to talk in a normal voice instead of at that high decibel level? And I hope someone will clue her in on what's on the menu.
We asked her which micro-brews she had. She told us she didn't know what those were. We pointed it out on the menu and she said, "Oh. You mean beer." And then she rattled off every beer in the house; micro and otherwise.
This was our third time here. If you want an average sandwich and you don't mind rough wait service, it's okay. The view of the lake is beautiful from the deck.

My husband and I frequently eat at Bigg's 155 Diner. It is conveniently located near the city park in Lakeport on Clear Lake, CA. They serve American cuisine with a varied selection in a nice informal setting. Jeff, owner and culinary chef, and his wife are fun, friendly, and always take time to visit with customers. From soups to desserts you can’t go wrong. My personal favorite soup is the thick and creamy clam chowder incredible. All the salads all are delicious, but the Caesar (alone or with chicken) is very tasty because of the chef's Caesar dressing. I haven't had a Bigg's sandwich I didn't like; the variety of bread is always fresh making for the best sandwiches ever. The Salmon on an Asian vacation and the crab & shrimp salad sandwich are my two choices; my husband cannot resist the Tri-Tip dip with fries. Entrees? It's hard to beat the grilled salmon over sautéed Julianne summer squash with grape tomatoes, served with the most tasty young green beans and carrots and roasted new red potatoes. My husband loves the New York Steak dinner. Then there are the blue-plate specials, varying from day to day, my husband really enjoys the Fish & Chips, but mine is Jeff's own take on Lasagna, so tasty and light for a pasta dish. Dessert? I am sorry to say I eat every bite of the dinner and never have room for dessert, but it looks wonderful. Bigg's not only serves affordable good food it is fun place to eat because of the staff and owners. You have to try it.
