This year we have had people from out of town, (family reunion) and other guests that we didn't have room for and also wanted to do something special for them. Tony & Peggy Barthel are the owners and have been very accomodating in getting us reservations when we needed them. If you have never reviewed or toured through the Railroad cars that have been converted into darling rooms each with a different theme, then you are missing out on a great spot for your guests. This past week we had two people who we had never met before doing us a favor driving down from Spokane Washington, at last minute Tony arranged one of the units for them to stay in, also even worked a nice discount for us. Our guests absolutely loved the caboose they stayed in and said the breakfast they were served was "Great"", the stay was the highlight of their trip. Do yourself a favor the next time you want to do something special for someone, or don't have room for your company, Call Tony & Peggy and do something really unique for them. What more could you ask for in your own neighborhood? While staying at the Featherbed I was struck by the service that the owners provide as well as clean rooms and tasty breakfast that was served. I live in Lakeport and did not have time to take a long vacation this last year. Staying overnight was so relaxing that I felt like I had travel out of our normal day to day only to realize that it was just a 10 minute ride to get home. What fun!

Tony and Peggy have done a wonderful job in promoting The Feather Bed Resort and Lake County in general. We are fortunate to have this unique property located in Lake County and innovative operators like Tony and Peggy. They are right on track!!

My husband and I stayed for my 42 birthday, last year. Had a great time, breakfast was de-lish. Tony and Peggy make you feel like your one of the family the moment you arrive. At breakfast the present you with the daily news. My birthday was listed...they made the whole stay wonderful!

As a special Christmas or anniversary present to loved ones, we have given gift certificates for a nights stay at the Feather Bed Railroad. Our relatives absolutely love their stays at such a fun B&B. What a special gift to share!

The cabooses are charming, the grounds are serene and very well maintained, it has one of the best beaches on the lake, and the Barthels are gracious hosts. Perfect for a staycation or a vacation!
